Eaten on Epiphany, Galette des Rois is a simple buttery puff pastry tart filled generously with frangipane and traditionally baked with a feve inside (once a fava bean, now a ceramic trinket).

Once the galette has been sliced up, the youngest in the room goes under the table with his or her eyes closed and randomly serves the slices to everyone. The person who then finds the feve in their slice will be crowned King or Queen for the entire day.

Putting a spin on tradition, we will be replacing the fava bean/ceramic trinket with a whole almond and the King or Queen of the day will receive a house special edition pastry ceramic magnet for keeps.

Allergens: Gluten (wheat), milk, eggs, nuts (almond). Do note that Rum & Raisin Galette des Rois contains alcohol.
